My images in other publications
For reasons outlined in detail in the "About" section of this site, photography will remain a hobby of mine, and NOT a job.
But still, like most every serious photographer in the world, I want my images to be seen; I want them to serve a purpose.
The best to way to go about this for me was to find people who could use my pictures in their own publications; and it worked.
Below is a short look at the places where my images have been used:
Die Wäscherei
simple translates into "The Laundry". A high-class, very fine
restaurant/bar combination run by my friend Andreas
in a building that once used to be a coin laundry. You
will find my images on his website as well as in his
menu and quarterly magazine. Visit his site at www.die-waescherei.at or even better, drop by there for the superb saturday/sunday morning brunch. Highly recommended.
SimHQ.com
www.simHQ.com
is a website that deals both with computer flight simulations
and real life aviation events. Even though it can't
be considered a "specialist aviation magazine", the
site has thousands of visitors from all over the world.
So when Airpower05 came around in June 2005, I asked
Doug, the owner of this fine place, if he had an interest
in a detailed pictorial. And indeed, he had. You can
find the full article here.
Doug and I are always looking at other projects as well; some of those were the report from Al Ain Aerobatics Show 05 and Moscow Exhibition 07. It's a good cooperation for both sides.
Airpower.at
Austrias biggest military aviation publication, www.airpower.at, has under the guide of Martin Rosenkranz turned into a Household Name in the Austrian Armed Forces and enjoys an very high amount of readers, including key personal from the European Military and Air/Space Industry. Togehter with Georg Mader, we three have now also published high-quality aviation calendars for 2007 and 2008.

Online Magazines, Austria
There are a few smaller aviation news websites here
in country (both military and civilian) whom I could
help out with a few images. Florian Kollmann run his
very professional "Bundesheer-Infoecke" at
www.bhi.at;
Robert Toegel takes a look at old and modern Armed Forces
in Austria on his page
www.doppeladler.com; and last, but not least, Martin
Metzenbauer covers the civilian side of aviation at
www.austrianaviation.net.
Online Magazines, International
Niels Hillebrand, the editor of www.milavia.net, has by now become a regular publisher of my journalistic work and we both enjoy our very good cooperation.
He can pride himself in running a website that covers
much more in military aviation than just the common
"spotter" topics seen on most other websites. Highly
recommended.
COCKPIT Magazine, Switzerland
In Summer 2007 I finally found a regular home for my
aviation articles and photographs: The COCKPIT
magazine based in Switzerland, now published since almost 50 years, is run by Editor-in-Chief Max Ungricht who is one of the most competent and friendly men I've ever worked with. I hope to continue this partnership long into the coming years.
HeliTac Magazine, New Zealand
Published out of New Zealand and distributed world-wide,
HeliTac
and it's Sister-Mag HeliOps
are THE two specialized Rotary Wing publications worth reading. With Austria's Military traditionally highly skilled at Helicopter Operations, working with Mark Odgen and Ned Dawson was a logical choice for me.
Air Forces Monthly, United Kingdom
One of the biggest worldwide published aviation magazines, AFM ran my short article about the Draken
Retirement in their Jan. 2006 issue, page 11 for those
who have the magazine.
