AIRBORNE07 in Murska Sobota
A small, privately organized Airshow in Slovenia turns out to have a very interesting, unusual lineup of guest planes - most notable a flying MiG-21 still in military service and a Po-2 Oldtimer.

Alpine Warfare Exercise "Cold Storm"
The job of a military journalist and photographer is certainly an exciting one. This time, it brought me high into the mountains to observe a very interesting military exercise in a breathtaking landscape.

Austrian Air Force Journalism Days 2006
I was fortunate to be invited to visit the Second Squadron, Air Surveillance Wing, currently stationed in Graz at Nittner Airbase. Swiss "Cockpit" magazine will likely publish my detailed report about this.

Al Ain Aerobatics Show 2006, United Arab Emirates
If you feel you've seen all that the airshow circus in the West has to offer, head over to the Middle East, where you'll find many new and exotic planes and display teams from as far down as South Africa.

Time to say Goodbye
Austria's Airforce is finally retiring our aging Saab Draken jetfighters. Here are the images from the final display flown with Draken 21, in the celebratory paintsheme of the "Dragon Knights".

Airpower05 Airshow, Austria
One of europe's biggest Airshows - right in my own backyard. I spent almost six days there enjoying the smell of kerosine and the deafening roar of jet engines.

Helicopters, Part 1
These images have been shot for www.simHQ.com where I will publish an article about austrian army aviation and especially the excellent Helicopter-Squadrons our "Bundesheer" operates.

Helicopters, Part 2
Still on the hunt for images and material for my extensive article about austrian military helicopters, I was invited to a course in alpine region flying which proved to be quite educational.
