Multinational Army Aviation Battailon Mercury
In Kosovo, three different nations, two of which are formally neutral (Switzerland and Austria) are operating a single, unified Army Aviation (Helicopter) Unit. I was there for HeliTac and Cockpit magazines.

USAF Special Operations
I was fortunate to have the chance of visiting the 1st Special Operations Wing at Hurlburt Field, Florida. These are the guys you don't want to mess with, especially at night since they live in the dark ;-).

Red Flag 4-08 at Nellis AFB
On holidays in the USA, I couldn't miss the first visit of Indian Su-30MKI Flankers to the Red Flag exercise near Las Vegas. Braving 50°C temperatures without shade paid off in unique pictures.

Austrian Flight Police
For an article in the NZ-based HeliOps magazine, I had a chance to visit and fly with the Austrian Air Police Wing covering their new EC135s and operations during the Euro 2008 Soccer Championship.

Austrian Emergency Medical Helicopter Service
Working on an article in the Swiss COCKPIT magazine, I got the chance to fly for a day with the "Yellow Angels" of the Austrian Automotice Association (ÖAMTC) Air Rescue Service. True professionals.

Various Photojournalism Pictures
During my last three years as aviation journalist, not every photo opportunity automatically ended up on my website. These days, I have enough "stray pictures" to dedicate a special page for them.

MAKS 2007
The bi-yearly held Moscow Air & Space Salon is the biggest Aviation Show & Exhibition for Eastern Europe and generates worldwide interest. Here I bring you selected shots from the aerial performances.

Eurofighter Typhoon arrives in Austria
A short flight for a jet plane, a gigantic leap for the Austrian Air Force: The Airspace Surveillance Squadron took delivery of it's first Eurofighter Typhoon Fighter Jet on 12th July 2007, and I was there too.
